My Story
Welcoming you warmly to Soul Notes.

Founded by myself, Catherine Hillier, Soul Notes massage therapy has long been simmering away quietly under the surface, patiently biding its time until the moment was right to be realised.

Soul Notes was born out of a search for deep-rooted, self-connection in a time of need; something to ground me, quiet my creative mind and preserve those little moments of calm and serenity that often get lost amongst the anxious chatter in my head and a very busy life that could (and still can) often feel all-consuming.

Aside from my work as a massage therapist, I am also a Composer for film, TV and theatre.
Music has always played a huge part in my life and I feel hugely grateful for what it has given me, but like many industries, amongst the incredible opportunities it can bring, it has also built a reputation for the long hours, late nights, tight deadlines and constant chase for the next job - all whilst you try to balance the rest of your life - whether that be a relationship, family, pets, or just simply taking the time out for yourself.
During the challenging moments, I found myself turning to touch and movement -more specifically, massage and yoga - or often more basic forms of stretching or deep pressure such as a weighted blanket. I consider myself a Highly Sensitive Person, so found it gave me not just a physical release of the tension I held, but often a space for emotional release as well. I could go back to my studio feeling a little lighter and with slightly more mental clarity than I had before, allowing creativity and inspiration to flow again.

In essence, I wanted to give to others what massage has given to me: A sanctuary for those feeling the weight and overwhelm of life. Whether you're a fellow creative, over-thinker or simply just a human being trying to navigate this thing we call 'life' - seeking rest, release, healing, or reconnection to yourself; through the power of intentional, therapeutic touch, I offer a safe and nurturing space to step out of the noise and into stillness.
Here, space is held for you with compassion, care, and without judgment, so that healing can unfold organically.

I hope to see you soon for some well-deserved ‘you' time.
